White Sugar Cone

Sugar in the 18th century was frequently processed in a cone form, and we are now offering such cones in white sugar. You get a cone of white sugar wrapped in "logwood" blue paper and sealed with a wax seal. They weigh roughly 7oz.  Also known as loaf sugar. They are approximately 4 3/4" high and 2 1/2" across the base.

We also offer the hard to find sugar nippers for breaking the cones into usable pieces. Sugar nippers not included with your sugar.

RICE JELLY.—Boil a quarter of a pound of rice flour with half a pound of loaf sugar, in a quart of water, till the whole becomes one glutinous mass, then strain off the jelly and let it stand to cool. This food is very nourishing and beneficial to invalids.
